Congregational Care Team
What is the Hummingbird Program? It is a multi-disciplinary consultive service that provides comprehensive care to meed the medical, emotional, social and spiritual needs of children with life-threatening, complex medical conditions and their families.
What is a Congregational Care Team? It is a partnership between a family, congregation, Pastoral care services, and the Hummingbird Program to provide non-medical support for children with complex medical conditions and their families.
How can you help? Cook meals, run errands, light housekeeping, laundry, lawn care, child care, or transportation of siblings.
How does this help the family?

It helps relieve some stress experienced by the family.

To maximize time for families to care for the medical needs of their ill child.

To assist congregations in serving members of their church during their time of greatest need,

To assist children and their families in supporting their wishes thereby enhancing their quality of life.
