Quote of the Day:
"Let's get on the road!! Let's go!!" (most everyone's sentiment, because we were ready to be home)
"Goodbye!" (this was our last day of travel and our final words to many new friends)

Journal Entry:
Our last day of the NYC Bus Trip!!
Mostly, it was a travel day. Both
bus drivers seemed anxious to get home to their significant others, so
we started early at 7:00 a.m., stopping only for meals and rest stops
when necessary. We dropped the Ridge church group off at the Blue
Mountain Interchange, said our tearful good-byes, and took the
opportunity for one last group photo. Then we motored onto York
First, where we unloaded the bus and each departed our separate ways.
It was a good trip. We learned
many new things, saw many new sights around our country, and met many
new people. We will never be able to re-create this NYC trip, but it
will live on in our memories for years to come.
Thanks to all who have made this a memorable trip:
- to Jay Crist for organizing the trip,
- to Carolyn Moyer of Carlson Travel for booking all our sight-seeing,
- to Jeff Sunday and Craig Bortner for their excellent care in driving our group across country
- to all the youth advisors who helped this trip to be enjoyable
- to all the youth who opened themselves to being a part of this group,
- to all the planners of NYC for a great "mountain top experience"
- and to all the others who will never be forgotten.
THANKS FOR A GREAT TRIP AND FOR GREAT MEMORIES!!! |
