"JAPAN TRIP"

Join us at noon in the Homebuilders Classroom 154 on Thursday March 11, when Brad Nicholas takes us along on his trip to Japan. Bring your bag lunch. Drinks and dessert will be provided by Glenn & Anna Miller. We promise to have you back in York by early that afternoon.

Sign-up sheets can be found in the Chapel, Narthex, Homebuilders, Horizons, Kairos, Lamplighters, and the church office, or call the Rollmans at 755-6735. BE SURE TO SIGN UP by Monday, March 8 so we know how many to plan for.

Upcoming Activities:

  • April 8 - To be determined at the March OWLS parliment.
  • May 13 - Technology - Pastor Keith and Larry Gibble will try to answer your questions about email, the Internet, and any other technology questions you may have. And of course, if you have some favorite web sites, we'd like you to tell us why you like them. We can then share them with the other OWLS in Parliament on April 8. Also Pastor Keith and I will have some interesting and informative web sites which will benefit you.
  • June 10 - Visit Gettysburg Visitor Center and Battlefield Tour
  • July 8 - Lunch, talk and games.
  • August 12 - Lunch, talk and games.

Sign up sheets will be made available for each event in the adult classrooms as well as in the narthex and chapel.

    Other Upcoming Activities:

Camp Eder 2010 Senior Citizens Days: (From the SoPA December, 2009-January, 2010 Newsletter) the 2010 Camp Eder schedule is as follows: March 31, April 21, May 26, August 25, September 29 and November 3. The following schedule applies to each event:
    9:30am - Registration and Snack
    10:00-11:30am - Morning Program
    12:00pm - Lunch
    1:00-2:30pm - Afternoon Program

The morning and afternoon programs are different, and we ask that groups and individuals stay for both programs.
The cost is $10.00 per person

(Six times a year, Camp Eder opens its doors to the senior crowd and offers a variety of activities including crafts, bingo, and lectures from various guest speakers. There have been lectures on edible herbs and weeds, better living, balloon sculpture and even area history. The crowds are large and the events are fun, so we should bring a friend and join the others for a good time!)
